Уже не в первый раз слышу от сотрудников MS зловещие слухи о том, что версию AX 4.1 переименуют в 5.0 и выпустят в середине 2008 (правильно, а как же иначе, новая версия, все-таки).
Будучи реалистом, приходится ожидать новую версию в 2009 году. Кроме того, согласно новой стратегии MBS, сервис-паки содержат теперь только исправления серьезных багов, минимум нового функционала. Т.е. менее значимые "косяки" из 4.0 будут радовать нас еще 2 года.

Well, let me try to clarify this; Sustained Engineering Team only provides a hotfix is there is a clear and strong business impact and no workaround is available. The reason is that every fix is a potential risk to break the kernel/application. Because these conditions are not fulfilled for this bug you requested to have this fixed in next KR or SP. But both KR and SP are just rollups of the delivered hotfixes. This is a different approach then in the past, so I agree that this is causing confusion in the partner channel but this is the way it works from now on.
So this bug has been ported to the next mayor release of Dynamics AX which was previously called Dynamics AX 4.1 but will now probably be called Dynamics AX 5.0 when it will be released to the market. Current release plan date is mid 2008.
