Responsibilities
The Dynamics AX Senior Consultant helps identify, pursue and close strategic business development opportunities while continually driving existing projects. To accomplish this, the Dynamics AX Consultant must be effective in fostering executive level relationships. You will also play a key role in employing, leveraging partners and off-shore teams as part of the overall Microsoft services delivery model. A senior AX Consultant helps to improve the mapping of industry specific requirements to the functions of the new Dynamics AX platform. You will identify solution gaps and develop solution options such as the inclusion of components from Independent Software Vendors (ISV), other Microsoft products or customer-specific customizations.
The challenge is to:
a) establish an overview of the requirements defined by the customer including definition of business, technical, and architectural requirements
b) recognize any inconsistencies, assumptions, and critical elements,
c) design the end-to-end functional architecture and solution design,
d) document, propose and discuss the architecture and solution options, recommendations and implications, and
e) facilitate and accelerate the decision process considering the customers’ business strategy, drivers and requirements, pain points & challenges knowing the relevant industry trends.
Required skills
A Senior AX Consultant must apply advanced analysis skills and experience in principals of the Dynamics ERP Solution to provide detailed reliable solutions and estimates for service implementations. They must have current and deep experience with implementation of large ERP products, such as Microsoft’s Dynamics AX and/or competitive ERP solutions such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards or BAAN. Understanding of competitive technology enables the consultant to properly assess feasibility of migrating customer solutions from, and/or integrating with customer solutions hosted on, non-Microsoft platforms. Advanced business process knowledge in one or more industries is also required.
The Dynamics AX Senior Consultant will be required to assist or provide quality oversight at various points throughout a project lifecycle. To be successful, he or she must have proven experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management. AX Senior Consultants are able to deliver effective strategic presentations to audiences of all sizes and possess excellent communication skills.
This is a unique opportunity for the right individual who possesses an ERP solution background and business solutions. The role requires both broad and deep industry knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by mapping customer business problems to reusable end-to-end business application solutions. The AX Senior Consultant will engage in senior level business decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and business processes. This position will be a key enabler and will focus on delivery of the largest, most complex, and most strategic projects in EMEA. He or she has a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience.
Higher relevant education preferred.

To live close to a major city/airport is an advantage as travel (up to 70%) is an integral part of this job, as well as high levels of recognition and visibility. In addition to that, a fluent command of an additional European language would be an asset.
